Cindy Piccoli, host of HGTV's Decorating With Style, makes a memory board from a picture frame and chicken wire. Materials:
Oversized wooden picture frame with wide molding--at least 3' high One piece of chicken wire wide enough to fit into the frame (don't piece the wire together) Wire cutters Protective gloves Staple gun and staples Wire and wicker baskets Wire Bulldog clips Black spray paint - If the frame is old, clean it, then paint or stain as desired to match the decor.
- Cut the wire with wire cutters to fit into the back of the frame. Spray-paint it black.
- Wearing gloves, attach the chicken wire with a staple gun (figure A).
- Attach wire and wicker baskets to the chicken wire, using small pieces of wire on each corner of the baskets (figure B).
- Use the hooks and bulldog clips to attach favorite photos and other memorabilia to the framed wire board (figure C).
- Hang the board, or prop it against the wall in the desired location.
